Music Festival at Ramamangalam

The three day ShatkalaGovindaMarar Music Festival organized by Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy in association with Ramamangalam ShatkalaGovindaMarar Kalasamithi will be celebrated at Shatkala Govinda Marar Auditorium, Ramamangalam in Ernakulam dt. from 07 Nov 2014. The music festival has included classical music concert, classical dance, orchestra on percussion etc. 



The schedule,

07 Nov 2014:
 At 03.30 pm, Keli (the orchestra using percussion instruments) by Kalamandalam Sreekumar, Anil Mekkadamdu, MS RamachandraKurup and troupe.
At 4.00pm, Sopanam (classical music using Idakka, the percussion instrument, developed at temples) by Ambalappuzha Vijayakumar.
The inaugural function will commence at 05.00 pm on the first day.
After the function, at 06.00 pm, Music concert by Sri Sankaran Namboothiri.

08 Nov 2014:
04.00 pm: Thayambaka (performed using Chenda, the percussion instrument) by Asok G Marar.
05.30 pm: Pancharatna Keerthanam (Classical music concert. It is a set of five kritis composed by Thyagaraja, one of the greatest composers and musicians of Carnatic music) by Parvathypuram Group.
06.30 pm: Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance) by Sreekanth & Aswathy Sreekanth.

09 Nov 2014:
02.00 pm: Music Concert.
05.00 pm: SopanaSangeetham by Thrikkamburam Jayan.

The conclusion ceremony of the festival will begin at 05.30 pm on 09th of Nov and the event will wind up with a Mohiniyattam (Indian Classical Dance)  performance by Kumari Sandra Pisharady & Kumari Parvathy Sreevallabhan.
