Vivekanand Lends Youthful energy into KBF’s Arts and Medicine

Singer Vivekanand treats audience to vocals, violin 2 days before biennale which opened on 12/12/14.  Pleasing as usual, musician Vivekanand infused buoyant energy into the Kochi Biennale Foundation’s “Arts and Medicine” programme at Kochi, accentuating “youthful energy” which is a key feature of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB).

A motley audience of patients, bystanders, doctors and nurses slowly started swelling at the Ernakulam Government General Hospital, as Vivek, who is the Idea Star Singer 2008 (A reality show by Asianet television channel) winner, sang classical as well as popular numbers and played the violin. He was accompanied on the keyboard by his friend Sumesh Anand besides the Mehboob Memorial Orchestra which does the orchestral accompaniment here every Wednesday.

The 2nd edition of KMB will feature 100 works by 94 artists across eight venues of the city, including Durbar Hall in Ernakulam, not far from the General Hospital.
