National Games 2015 - The Cultural Programmes

The 35th National Games organized by Indian Olympic Association from 31 Jan to 14 Feb 2015 at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The Great Hornbill, or the Great Indian Hornbill, the State bird of Kerala, is the official Mascot .  The main venue is The Games Village, Menamkulam at Trivandrum. The opening and closing ceremonies are held at Greenfield Stadium, Karyavattom, Thiruvananthapuram. All other Competition Venues in Thiruvananthapuram are located within 25 kms. The Games Village will be a ‘miniature India' as this venue is supposed to be the most vocal and visual representation of India's national integration at the Games. Around 5,000 sport persons and officials from different states will be housed together in this venue. The other venues are at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kochi, Thrissur,  Kozhikode and Kannur. Cultural programmes are also arranged as part of the games in different venues, during these days.
