Krishnayaa – A Journey Called Love

Tapasya (Amrutha, Bindu, Manjulekha, Vinaya) presents “Krishnayaa – a journey called love” – an evening of unabashed love and devotion for Lord Krishna on 23rd April, 2016, 06.00 pm. This program will be held at Nayana Auditorium, Ravindra Kalakshetra Compound, J.C. Road, Bangalore.

The evening will be an enchanting heady mix of Mohiniyattam and Bharatnatyam with the core focus being on a woman’s love and devotion for Lord Krishna through different stages of in lifetime journey; as a child Meera and her devotion for the Lord; as a young lady – Radha and her spiritual love for the divine Lord; as a mother – Yashoda’s unchallenged love for her son. This will be followed by a Bharatnatyam item in the praise of Lord Krishna.



The evening will culminate with a Jugalbandhi Thillana in Mohiniyattam and Bharatnatyam.


Tapasya is an Indian classical dance group at Bangalore, formed by a group of passionate dancers who extend their dreams beyond their professional and family realms. The dancers having trained under the famous Mohiniyattam exponent Kerala Karnataka Kalashree Guru Sreedevi Unni, have performed at various prestigious dance festivals like MohiniNrithyotsav, World Dance day, Hampi festival and ISKON in addition to also performing on stage at Guruvayoor, Ravindra Kalakshetra, Chowdaiah hall amongst others.
