Nishagandhi Festival 2017 at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala



Nishagandhi festival, the annual dance and music festival organised by Kerala Tourism will be held from 20 to 26 January 2017 at Kanakakkunnu in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala, India). Renowned artist in the field of art and entertainment will participate in the festival.

The seven day festival of music and dance will begin with the Odissi dance performance by Aruna Mohanty & Group. Eminent artists - Dr Neena Prasad, Dr Lima Das, Geetha Chandran, Mandakini Trivedi, Malavika Sarukkai etc. perform in the following days. A festival of traditional classical arts - Kathakali, Koodiyattam (kutiyattam) - will also be conducted in Nishagandhi Festival. A session for upcoming artists is also included. 08.00 pm: Mohiniyattam by Mandakini Trivedi.

24 Jan:
06.30 pm: Bharatanatyam by Malavika Sarukkai
07.30 pm: Manipuri Dance by Darsana Jhaveri & Group.

25 Jan:
07.00 pm: Kuchipudi by Uma Murali
08.00 pm: Kathak by Vidha Lal & Abhimanyu Lal.

26 Jan: 
06.30 pm: Odissi by Sujata Mohapatra
07.30 pm: Creative dance theatre by Madhu Gopinath & Vakkom Sajeev.

Kathakali - Kutiyattam/Koodiyattam festival will also be conducted on these days (See Details). There will be a session for Upcoming talents on 21, 23 & 25th Jan. Bharatanatyam by Sanjana Arun (21 Jan, 06.30 pm), Kuchipudi by Sonu S K (23 Jan, 06.30 pm)  and Mohiniyattam by Aparna Ramachandran (25 Jan, 06.30 pm) will be conducted in this session.
