Vivarthana - dance transforms Bharatanatyam production by Rama Vaidyanathan

'Vivarthana - dance transforms', a bharatanatyam production conceptualised and choreographed by Kalaimamani Rama Vaidyanathan will be presented at Thrissur, Kerala on 01 November 2017. The event will be conducted at KT Muhammed Smaraka Theatre (Regional Theatre), Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, Thrissur from 06.30 pm. It was premiered on April 2017 at the Mudra Dance Festival organised by National Centre for Performing Arts, Mumbai.

Besides Rama Vaidyanathan, Keerthana Ravi, Lakshmi Chakyar, Shubhamani Chandrashekher, Kavya Ganesh and Sannidhi Vaidyanathan (on mridangam) will perform for Vivarthana.

Rama Vaidyanathan is a leading exponent of Bharatanatyam who has trained intensively under the legendary dancer Yamini Krishnamurthy and the renowned Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan. She has evolved her own individual style without forsaking the core principles of Bharata Natyam. She has performed in many stages all over India and abroad. She also conducts master classes, workshops and lecture demonstration for dancers all over the world.
Rama has received prestigious awards and titles for her contribution to Bharatanatyam. Kalai Maamani from The Tamil Nadu State Government, Jewel Of India from the Government Of Srilanka, Best Dancer Award from The Music Academy, Chennai, National Excellence Award from All India Unity Conference, Delhi etc are some among them

Passes are also available at the venue from 3.00 pm onwards on the day of performance (01 Nov 2017).
