Rangarajeevam is an event to celebrate and honour the forty years of professional life of Peesappilli Rajeevan, a noted Kathakali artiste from Kunnamkulam in Thrissur district, Kerala. Peesappilli Rajeevan is a versatile actor in Kathakali, who can effectively manage variety of characters in Kathakali, including female characters.  Apart from Kathakali he has also established his identity in Drama and also acted in some films. He has produced and choreographed some theatrical productions based on poems.  He has also conducted more than 500 lecture-demonstrations in various schools and colleges to popularize Kathakali, the classical dance-drama of Kerala.

The three day cultural fest include lectures, dance choreography, music concerts and Kathakali performances. The event is organized by the art fraternity of Kathakali and the natives of Kunnamkulam to express love and affection towards the great artiste Peesappilli Rajeevan.

10.30 am- Lecture by Dr. M V Narayanan
11.30 am- Chiramjeevitham- Contemporary theatrical presentation by Peesappiili Rajeevan, based on the story of Ashwathama from the epic Mahabharatha; Script & Direction- T V Venugopalan.
03.00 pm- Violin concert by Gokul Alamkode.
05.00 pm- Dance choreography presented by Bharathanatyam dancer Dr. Rajasree Varrier, based on the drama ‘Lankalakshmi’ written by C N Sreekandan Nair, focusing the character Ravanan from the epic Mahabharatha.  Script by B K Harinarayanan and Singer Reju Narayanan.
