Architect's alumnus conducted exhibition of paintings to support post flood rebuild of Kerala

After facing a devastating flood, Kerala is now on its road to recovery. People are working hard towards creating a revamped Kerala. In this context, nine friends from different parts of the country, alumnus  of Department of Architecture, College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram coming together to contribute towards the reconstruction of Kerala.


These architects, Abhijath Ajay, Akhil V K, Gopika J, Jayakrishnan R J, Jineesh K Jois, Mohit Mohan, Rahul Sarvothaman, Rebecca Rechana Paul and Satna T V, all had a common interest towards fine arts and now holding an exhibition cum sale of their artworks. The amount collected through the sale of these paintings will be given to the Chief Minister’s fund for the flood relief activities.

The exhibition titled ‘Dyuthi’ going on at Lalithakala Akademi art gallery, Kozhikode, started on 9 Oct 2018. The paintings are of different mediums, including water colour, acrylic, pen and pencil, charcoal etc. and are meant to evoke the memory of the beautiful landscapes of the state. A total of 82 paintings are at display here.


The exhibition was inaugurated by the renowned artist Sri. Sarath Chandran and the guest of honour was Sri. Ibrahim Badusha , Vice chairman of Kerala Cartoon Academy. The show at Kozhikode will conclude on 12 Oct 2018.
