National Kathakali Festival 2018 and 10th anniversary of Kathakali School Cheruthuruthy

The National Kathakali Festival 2018, an event for the promotion of Kathakali organized by Kathakali school, Cheruthuruthy with the support of Ministry of Culture, Govt of India will be held from 17^th to 20th of Oct 2018.  Along with this event, Kathakali school also celebrates its tenth anniversary.  Apart from Kathakali performances, Kathakali workshops and academic discussions on Kathakali, the event also include performances of Nangiarkoothu, Mizhavu Thayambaka, Classical dances like Mohiniyattam, Bharathanatyam, Kuchippudi etc. Another highlight is the debut by the students from Kathakali schools in various arts forms, Kathakali, Bharathanatyam, Kuchippudi, etc.

7.30pm – Classical dances Arangettam (Mohiniyattam, Bharathanatyam and Kuchippudi)- the debut by the students from Kathakali School. Supporting artists: Kalamandalam Priya (Nattuvangam/Rhythm), Kalmandalam Sharanya, Kalamandalam Viswas (music/vocal), Kalamandalam Rajeesh (Mridangam), Manjei Padmakumar (violin), Kalamandalam Arun Das (edakka).
