11th Kutiyattam festival by Nepathya Moozhikkulam

11th edition of Kutiyattam festival organized by Nepathya Centre for excellence in Kutiyattam at Moozhikkulam, near Aluva in Ernakulam district, Kerala begins on 30 Dec 2018. The five day festival focuses on the presentations of the 1st act of Kulasekhara’s  Kutiyattam play ‘Thapathisamvaranam’.
The young artiste award for excellence in Kutiyattam/Kathakali installed by Nepathya in memory of Late D Appukuttan Nair, a scholar in Kathakali and Kutiyattam will also be distributed during the festival.  This year the award goes to Kalanilayam Rajan, a talented Edakka percussionist in Kutiyattam.

30 Dec 2018:
06.30pm- Inaugural function , Award giving ceremony and D Appukuttan Nair commemorative lecture.
07.30pm- Mizhavil Thayambaka by Nepatha Jinesh and team


31 Dec 2018:
06.30pm- Kutiyattam

Artists: Nepathya Rahul Chakyar (as Samvaranan) and Margi Madhu Chakyar (Vidushakan)


03 Jan 2019:
6.30pm- Kutiyattam 3rd day
Artists: Nepathya Yadu Krishnan (as Samvaranan) and Margi Sajeev Narayanan Chakyar (Vidushakan)
