Rasavikalpam, the dance festival organized by Kerala Sangeetha
Nataka Academy in association with South Zone Cultural Centre will have a
commencement on 1st November 2014. The festival provides a platform for
the artists across India, trained in classical dance forms, to showcase their
talents. The event is held at six different venues in Kerala –
Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode and Walayar. Workshops on classical dances will be also conducted
in selected venues.
At Thiruvananthapuram, the festival will be conducted ten
days from 01st to 10th November 2014, 06.30 pm at Cooperative Bank Auditorium. Rama
Vaidyanathan, Dakshina Vaidyanathan, Jyotsa Jagannathan, Lavanya Ananth, Swetha
Prachande, Navya Natarajan, Keerthi Ramgopal, Sreelatha Vinod, Sreekanth &
Aswathy and Bragha Bessel will participate in the event. Sreelatha Vinod,
bharathanatyam artist from Chennai will conduct a workshop here from 01st
to 07th.
CSI Auditorium at Chinnakkada will be venue for the festival
to be conducted at Kollam. The program will begin here on 02nd
November with the bharatanatyam performance of Kirthi Ramgopal. Rama
Vaidyanathan, Dakshina Vaidyanathan, Sruthi Jayan and Jyotsa Jagannathan will
perform in consecutive days. The event concluding on 06th November will
start on each day at 07.00 pm.
The festival will take place at Kerala Sangeetha Nataka
Academy at Thrissur from 01 to 10 November, 06.30 pm. There will be a seven day
workshop at this venue from 01 to 07 Nov by talented bharatanatyam dancer Bragha
Bessel. Ten talented artists Kirthi Ramgopal, Jyotsa Jagannathan, Arupa Lahiry,
Rama Vaidyanathan, Dakshina Vaidyanathan, Swetha Prachande, Bragha Bessel, Sreelatha
Vinod and Mandakini Trivedi will participate.
On Saturday, 01st November Sreekanth &
Aswathy will perform at Rappadi open air auditorium in Palakkad. Aparna Vinod, Navya
Natarajan, Mandakini Trivedi, Arupa Lahiry, Sruthi Jayan, Shabana & Shafeekudeen,
Swetha Prachande, Rama Vaidyanathan and Dakshina Vaidyanathan will perform at
Palakkad till 10th of November. Dance workshop led by Mandakini
Trivedi will be conducted here from 01st to 07th .
Jyotsa Jagannathan Lavanya Ananth, Arupa Lahiry, Navya
Natarajan, Kirthi Ramgopal, Swetha Prachande, Rama Vaidyanatha, Dakshina
Vaidyanathan, Bragha Bessel and Sreelatha Vinod are the artists performing at Chavara Cultural Centre in Kozhikode. Workshop by Manju Bhargavi will be held from 01 to 10 Nov.
The festival begins on 06th of
November at Ahalya Heritage Village,Walayar . Arupa Lahiry, Rasika Kumar, Shabana & Shafeekudeen, Dakshina
Vaidyanathan and Rama Vaidyanathan will participate here.
Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy, an autonomous body for
arts, used to conduct festivals and programs in Kerala to nurture and promote
the art and artist all over India. The academy has organized and is conducting programs
in 365 days of the year.
