Devadaasyam, a four day festival of traditional performing arts, will be conducted at Natyagruham of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy, Thrissur, Kerala (India) from 02nd to 5th May 2016. The festival is organised by Saalabhanjika studio for arts and performance at Thrissur, an institution specialized in imparting training in south Indian classical art forms.

09.30 am: Kalamezhuthu will start at Bharat Murali Auditorium
(The ritual drawing of kalam is done by Kallat Manikandan & team. The rare figure of the Goddess with 64 hands is a unique ritual drawing usually done only at Vaikom Mahadeva temple once in 12 years.This powdered drawing on the floor will be of 45 x 40 ft and a drawn by a single person(estimated to take more than 24hrs to complete the figure). The ritual connected with this - folk songs, oracle performance etc - are performed on 05th May ).

Saalabhanjika is conducting Devadaasyam for the 4th consecutive year.Saalabhanjika Classical Dance Competition (SCDC), the theory & practical dance competion,
to encourages the budding artists and helps them to know in depth about the subject. This year the 4th SCDC was conducted in April 2016.
