Photo-documentary of Artists’ camp during ‘Mahabharatha Vicharam’ at Thrissur Lalithakala Akademi campus
Kerala Lalithakala Akademi organized a 12-day long cultural
fest based on the themes from the epic Mahabharatha from 30 October to 10
November 2016. In the festival titled ‘Mahabharatha Vicharam’, a variety of performing arts of Kerala like
Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Shadow puppetry, Yakshaganam, Chavittunatakam, Nangiarkoothu
etc, were staged with the core theme Mahabharatha. As part of the festival an
artists’ camp was also organized in which 20 plus contemporary artists took
part and created their work. The following are the photographs of the artists
along with their creation, of which some of them are completed and the remaining almost finished work. All the works
were exhibited at the Akademi Art Gallery on the concluding day.
