museum at Madhavan Nair Foundation, Edappalli in Ernakulam district (Kerala,
India) is organizing a two day workshop,
6 -7 May 2017 (10.30 am - 3.30 pm) to explore the art of print making.
Artist
Jayesh Barsathi will teach you how to hand-cut your own designs on wood sheets and use them to create
unique prints. According to the organizers this workshop is suitable for participants aged 14 and above.
Jayesh Barsathi is
a printmaker and painter. For his wood cut prints, Jayesh received the Kerala
Lalitha Kala Academy State Award in 2014-15. His works have been displayed in
exhibitions across Kerala. Jayesh studied printmaking at Shantiniketan, West Bengal
and at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. At present, he is a
guest art lecturer at Sree Sankaracharya University.
