Navarathri Sangeetholsavam at Thiruvananthapuram

Navarathri Sangeetholsavam, the annual music festival held at the Navaratri Mandapam, adjacent to Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) begins on 21 September 2017. The nine-day long music festival held in connection with Navarathri celebrations. The music festival features some of the exquisite kritis (compositions) of Swathi Thirunal, the music maestro and the former king of erstwhile Travancore kingdom.

21 Sept: 

Main Kriti : Devi Jagajjanani – Shankarabharanam

Artists: Ashwath Narayanan (Vocal),  B. Ananthakrishnan(Violin), Tanjore Sri Praveen Kumar(Mridangam) and Udupi Sri Sridhar( Ghatam).

22 Sept: 

Main Kriti : Pahimam Sri Vaageeshwari- Kalyani

Artists: Amrutha Venkatesh(Vocal),  Avaneeswaram Sri S.R.Vinu( Violin), S.J.Arjun Ganesh ( Mridangam) and Dr S.Karthick (Ghatam). 

23 Sept:

Main Kriti : Devi Pavane - Saveri

Artists: Prince Sri Rama Varma(Vocal),  Avaneeswaram Sri S.R.Vinu (Violin), B.Harikumar (Mridangam) and Dr S.Karthick (Ghatam).

24 Sept: 

Main Kriti : Bharati Mamava –  Thodi

Artists: Sanjay Subrahmanyan(Vocal), S.Vardarajan( Violin), Nanjil Sri Arul(Mridangam) and Perukavu P.L.Sudheer(Ghatam). 

25 Sept:

Main Kriti : Janani Mamava – Bhairavi

Artists: S.Varadarajan( Violin –Solo) and Prof T.V.Gopalakrishnan(Mridangam)

26 Sept:

Main Kriti : Saroruhasana Jaye – Kamavardhini

Prof K.Venkataramanan (Vocal), S R Mahadev Sarma (Violin), Chertala Krishnakumar(Mridangam), 

Vazhapally  Krishnakumar( Ghatam) and Tirunakkara Retish(Morsing),

27 Sept:

Main Kriti : Janani Pahi – Shuddha Saveri

Artists: Prof Parassala B Ponnammal( Vocal), Idappally Ajith Kumar( Violin), Palghat Maheshkumar (Mridangam), Adichanaloor Sri Anilkumar(Ghatam) and Payyanur Sri Govindaprasad(Morsing)

28 Sept: 

Main Kriti : Pahi Janani – Natakuranji

Artists: Tamarakkad Govindan Namboothiri(Vocal), Trivandrum Sampath(Violin), Dr G.Babu (Mridangam), Manjoor Unnikrishnan(Ghatam) and Kottayam Murali (Morsing)

29 Sept:

Main Kriti : Pahi Parvatanandini  - Arabhi

Artists: Vishnudev Namboothiri (Vocal), Trivandrum Sampath (Violin), Nanjil Arul ( Mridangam) and Payyanur Govindaprasad(Morsing)
