Venue: Aravinda Vidya Mandiram, Pallikkathodu, Kottayam
District, Kerala. (26km from Kottayam town; On Kottayam- Kumali road, take diversion from
Kodungoor towards Pala road to reach Pallikkathodu. Pala is 18km and Ettumanoor is 20km).
Nalacharitham Maholsavam is a four-day event with
performance of Kathakali by Padmashri Kalamandalam Gopi, recipient of the award ‘Aravinda
Keerthimudra’ instituted by Aravinda Charitable society. Kathakali play
Nalacharitham will be staged on these days in the evenings. All these days the
lead role of the play is performed by Kalamandalam Gopi. Other noted artists in
the field of Kathakali are also participating during these days. An exhibition of
photographs based on the classical art forms of Kerala, Kathakali, Kutiyattam,
Mohiniyattam etc., by noted photographer Radhakrishna Varrier, will also be on
display at the venue. The event organized by Sarangi Samskarika Vedi of Aravinda
Charitable Society will conclude on 24 Dec 2017.
